The Mom Detective
A boy comes home from school and quietly sneaks into the kitchen to grab cookies from the jar.
Mom, sitting in the living room, shouts, “Put those cookies back!”
The boy freezes. “How did you know?” he asks.
Mom says, “I heard the jar lid.”
The next day, the boy carefully opens the jar, making no sound at all.
Mom shouts again, “Put the cookies back!”
The boy is amazed. “How did you know this time?”
Mom replies, “Because I didn’t hear the jar lid, which means you’re up to something!”
The boy sighs and says, “You should be a detective.”
Mom smiles and says, “I already am. It’s called Mom Sense.”
