The Secret Agent Dog
A man adopts a stray dog from a shelter. After a few weeks, he notices the dog is too smart. It opens doors, answers commands before they’re even spoken, and seems to understand complex instructions.One day, the man jokingly
says, “What are you, some kind of secret agent?”
The dog barks once and runs to the man’s bookshelf. It pulls out a dusty old book, flips it open to a page about military K-9 units, and points to a photo of itself wearing a badge.
Shocked, the man says, “You’re serious?!”
The dog nods, grabs a pair of sunglasses from the table, and walks out the door.
A note is left behind that reads: “I was never here.”
