The Dog at the Bakery
A dog walks into a bakery, sniffs around, and points to a tray of donuts.
The baker, amused, says, “Sorry, buddy, we don’t serve dogs.”
The dog barks and pulls out a $20 bill from his collar. Surprised, the baker shrugs, takes the money, and hands over a donut.
The next day, the dog comes back and does the same thing. This happens for a week straight.
Curious, the baker follows the dog after his donut purchase. He watches as the dog trots over to a house, rings the doorbell with his nose, and waits patiently.
The owner answers, sees the donut in the dog’s mouth, and sighs. “You did it again, didn’t you?”
The baker steps forward and says, “Hey, this dog is incredible! He comes to my bakery every day and pays for his own donut!”
The owner shakes his head. “Yeah, but do you know how long it’s taking me to teach him to bring back change?”
