The Witch’s Midnight Delivery
A witch named Gretchen had a magical delivery service that specialized in transporting potions, broomsticks, and enchanted items to witches and wizards around the world. But one Halloween night, things went a little haywire.
Gretchen had received an urgent request to deliver a rare, magical potion to a distant village. She hopped onto her broom and zoomed through the night sky, guided by the full moon. But when she arrived at the house, she noticed something odd: The door was wide open, and there was no one inside.
“I’m here with your potion!” she called, but there was no response.
Suddenly, she heard a rustling in the bushes. She looked down and saw a small group of children dressed in costumes, holding out their candy bags.
“Trick or treat!” they yelled, staring at the magical potion she was holding.
Gretchen blinked. “Uh… I’m actually here to deliver a potion. It’s not for candy.”
One of the children, dressed as a pirate, frowned. “But… it looks like a potion for a candy spell.”
Gretchen sighed and thought for a moment. “Alright, how about this? I’ll give you all a little bit of this potion, and it will turn your candy into magical, never-ending candy. But only for tonight!”
The children cheered, and Gretchen gave them a tiny sip of the potion. The candy bags magically filled up with endless supplies of treats. The children ran off happily, yelling, “Best Halloween ever!”
Gretchen smiled to herself, thinking, “Well, it’s not what I planned, but it worked out in the end.”
She flew back into the night, ready for her next magical delivery, knowing that sometimes even witches can use a little extra Halloween magic.
