The Awkward Karaoke Performance
At a company party, someone decided karaoke would be a good team-building activity. One guy got up and sang “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion with so much dramatic flair, it was like he was auditioning for a Broadway show.
When he finished, he turned to the crowd and said, “I know, I know—I crushed it.”
We all clapped politely, and then he added, “If anyone needs vocal lessons, I charge $50 an hour.”
The next person to go up sang “Let It Go,” and he sat in the front row, critiquing her performance like he was on The Voice.
