The Classic Lullaby
Dad: “Hey, son, do you want to hear the most soothing lullaby I know?”
Son: “Sure, Dad.”
Dad: Sings “Rock-a-bye, baby, on the treetops…”
Son: “Dad, that’s not soothing at all. The baby is going to fall off the tree!”
Dad: “Well, it’s not about the baby falling. It’s about the rhythm. Plus, the baby is probably already used to it. It’s a metaphor for life: sometimes things get shaky, but you’ve got to keep rocking!”
Son: “I think you might be reading into it too much, Dad.”
Dad: “Maybe, but I bet the baby still gets a good night’s sleep anyway.”
