The Springtime Parade
Every year, the animals of the forest threw a big springtime parade to celebrate the new season. This year, the animals decided to make it the best parade yet. The rabbits decorated their wagons with flowers, the squirrels wore leaf hats, and the birds sang songs as they flew overhead.
But one animal, the bear, didn’t know how to join in. “I’m too big to decorate anything, and I don’t know any spring songs,” said the bear sadly.
The other animals noticed the bear looking down and invited him to join the parade anyway. “You’re an important part of our forest,” the rabbits said. “We need you to help lead the parade!”
The bear smiled and said, “I guess I can carry the spring banner!”
As the parade marched through the forest, the bear proudly carried the banner, and everyone cheered. They realized that everyone, no matter their size or skills, had something special to offer in making spring a wonderful time.
