The Doctor and the Chef
A doctor and a chef are having a conversation at a party. The doctor says, “You know, being a doctor is so stressful. You have to deal with people’s lives every single day. You can’t afford to make mistakes.”
The chef laughs and says, “I know the feeling! But you can always cover up a mistake with a little more seasoning!”
The doctor looks puzzled. “You’re kidding, right? I can’t just throw a little extra salt or pepper at a mistake in my job.”
The chef smirks. “Well, you’re in luck. You can! I can’t even count the number of times I’ve made a little mistake with a dish. But you just add a bit of garlic, and nobody notices!”
The doctor pauses and says, “I guess we both have our ways of dealing with things, huh?”
The chef grins. “That’s right. And by the way, if you ever need a good cover-up for your mistakes, let me know. I’ll bring you a nice chicken dish with a little extra seasoning!”
The doctor laughs. “I’ll keep that in mind… just don’t give me anything that needs surgery.”
