The Lion and the Parrot
A lion walks into a bar and asks the bartender, “What’s the best way to get noticed?” The bartender looks up from wiping the counter and says, “Well, you could start by not walking into a bar and ordering a drink in the first place.”
The lion frowns. “But I’m the king of the jungle. I want something exciting.”
“Okay,” says the bartender, “I have a parrot who’s famous for imitating anything he hears. I bet if you stand next to him, he’ll copy your roar.”
So, the lion stands by the parrot, ready to show off his roar. The parrot, not missing a beat, squawks, “Get out of the way, you big cat! The real king is coming through!”
The lion, now completely embarrassed, slinks out of the bar, thinking, “Maybe I should just stick to the jungle and leave the comedy to the birds.”
