The Wise Turtle and the Speedy Rabbit
A rabbit and a turtle decide to have a race to settle once and for all who is the fastest. The rabbit, being confident in his speed, agrees immediately and starts stretching. The turtle, calm and collected, doesn’t say a word, just gets into position.
The race begins, and the rabbit shoots off like a rocket, leaving the turtle far behind. After a few minutes, the rabbit looks back and sees that the turtle is still just a dot in the distance. Feeling confident, the rabbit stops to rest under a tree and falls asleep.
Meanwhile, the turtle keeps going, slow and steady, never stopping, never looking back. By the time the rabbit wakes up, the turtle has crossed the finish line and won the race.
The rabbit, panting and out of breath, says, “How did you do it? I was so much faster than you!”
The turtle simply replies, “It’s not about speed, my friend. It’s about persistence.” The rabbit learns that sometimes slow and steady really does win the race.
