Family Gatherings
“A family gathers for Thanksgiving, and tensions are running high.”
The mother says, “This year, I want us all to go around and say what we’re thankful for.”
The teenage son rolls his eyes, “Mom, this is pointless.”
The father chimes in, “I’m thankful that we only have to do this once a year.”
The daughter says, “I’m thankful that I have my phone with me so I don’t have to listen to any of you.”
The grandmother whispers, “I’m thankful I probably won’t remember any of this by next Thanksgiving.”
