The Doctor’s Appointment
“I went to the doctor for a routine checkup, and he asked me how I was doing. I said, ‘Well, I’ve been feeling a little off lately.’ The doctor nodded and said, ‘Tell me more about what’s been bothering you.’ I told him, ‘Well, every time I walk past a mirror, I feel like someone’s watching me, but when I look, it’s just my reflection. It’s like there’s another version of me that’s stuck inside my own head.’ The doctor leaned forward, scribbled something on his notepad, and said, ‘Sounds like a case of self-inflicted paranoia. You might need to see a therapist.’ I shook my head and said, ‘Doc, you don’t understand. I already saw him. He’s been staring at me for years!'”
