The Job Interview

A man goes to a job interview at a high-stakes, high-paying firm. The interviewer looks at him and says, “We have one last test for you. If you pass, the job is yours. But if you fail, it could cost you everything.”
The man, eager for the job, says, “I’m up for anything!”
The interviewer leans forward and asks, “How would you handle a situation where your actions directly led to someone’s death?”
The man pauses, thinking about the gravity of the question, and then answers, “Well, I’d make sure the paperwork is in order before I walk away.”
The interviewer nods, “Perfect. You’ve got the job.”
The man smiles, proud of himself, until the interviewer adds, “Now, about that paperwork…”
