The Friend Who Can’t Keep a Secret
Steve and Mike are friends, but Mike is notorious for not being able to keep secrets. One day, Steve tells Mike that he has a surprise for him, but he has to keep it a secret until the right moment.
Mike, looking nervous but excited, promises, “I won’t say a word, I swear!”
The next day, Mike is having lunch with another friend, and he can’t help himself. He blurts out, “So, Steve’s got a big surprise for me. I can’t tell you what it is, but it’s really big!”
Later that evening, Steve calls Mike and says, “Mike, I told you not to tell anyone!”
Mike sheepishly replies, “I didn’t tell anyone… well, except for that one guy at lunch.”
Steve sighs. “Mike, you have to learn the art of keeping things quiet!”
Mike laughs and says, “Hey, it’s not my fault! I’m just too excited for the surprise!”
