The Pirate’s Haunted Ship
Captain Grimblade was known for being fearless. So when his crew told him their ship was haunted, he laughed. “Haunted? Ghosts don’t scare me!”
But that night, strange things began to happen. The wheel turned on its own, the anchor raised itself, and ghostly voices whispered, “Leave… this… ship…”
Grimblade, refusing to be intimidated, yelled, “Listen here, spirits! This be my ship, and if ye don’t like it, ye can walk the plank!”
Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared. It was a pirate from centuries past. “This was my ship long before it was yours!” the ghost bellowed.
Grimblade smirked. “Well then, let’s settle this the pirate way: an arm-wrestling match!”
The ghost laughed, but it agreed. The crew watched as Grimblade and the ghost wrestled all night. Finally, Grimblade slammed the ghost’s arm down. “The ship is mine!”
The ghost sighed, vanishing into the night. Grimblade grinned and said, “There’s no such thing as ghosts… just lousy sailors who can’t take a loss!”
