The Spring Cleaning Disaster
One spring day, a family of ants decided it was time for their annual spring cleaning. The queen ant gave everyone tasks: sweeping the anthill, dusting the tunnels, and gathering up old food.
But one little ant named Andy didn’t want to clean. He wanted to play outside and explore the spring flowers. “Spring cleaning is boring!” Andy grumbled as he dragged a broom across the floor.
The queen ant noticed Andy’s lack of enthusiasm and said, “Andy, spring cleaning is important. It keeps our home safe and organized. If we don’t clean, the food could spoil and the tunnels could get messy!”
Andy sighed and said, “But I’d rather be out in the sunshine, enjoying the flowers.”
The queen smiled and said, “Why not do both? You can take a break and enjoy the flowers, but remember, we all need to pitch in to keep the anthill nice and tidy.”
So, Andy worked hard to clean, but every time he finished a task, he took a quick break to admire the flowers outside. And by the end of the day, he realized that cleaning wasn’t so bad when you could enjoy a beautiful spring day afterward.
