The Spring Picnic
One fine spring afternoon, a group of animals decided to have a picnic. There was a squirrel, a rabbit, a bird, and a mouse, all excited for the day. The squirrel packed nuts, the rabbit brought carrots, the bird brought some berries, and the mouse packed cheese.
They found a beautiful meadow and spread out their picnic blanket. Just as they were about to start eating, the rabbit said, “I think we’re missing something. Where’s the spring flower to make our picnic complete?”
The bird chirped, “You’re right! Let’s go pick one!”
They all ran off to find the perfect flower. The squirrel found a dandelion, the rabbit found a tulip, the bird found a daisy, and the mouse found a lily.
When they all returned, they placed their flowers on the blanket and admired their collection.
The squirrel looked around and said, “You know, this is the best picnic ever! Not only do we have food, but we’ve got flowers, too. Spring is the season for friends, fun, and a little bit of nature’s magic!”
The mouse agreed and said, “I think next time we should bring more flowers—and maybe a few more snacks!”
